China became the first world consumer of red wine in the world.
According to a study made by Vinexpo on the Asian Market, in 2013 1,865 milliard of bottles of red wine were consumed by the chinese. It increased of 136% comparing to 2008.
Between 2007 and 2013, the consumption of wine was multiply by 2,70 whereas it decreased of 18% in France. Where are the reputation of french drinkers? With our manners and traditions, We will never balanced the traditional « Gambei » (cul sec) of the chinese.

This numbers are encouraging the French producers to export wine in China. Indeed, it is a real opportunity for small vineyards that cannot survive in the french environment. Locals producers are selling their wines to companies established in China without taking care of the packaging. This wine is only sold in China as the regulation is not as strict as in France.
